Kapili-Hydro Electric Project
7 kilometers off from Umrongso, the waters of Garampani merge with the waters of Kapili Hydro-Electric Project. Dams and barrages are built over the River Kapili. The Kapili Hydro-Electric Project Township is a beautiful picture on the canvas of Umrongso.

Garampani
Garampani is a hot water spring near Umrangso. It is believed that the water of this spring has medicinal properties. Boating amidst the serene waters of the lake and the picturesque scene visible from the hilltop are enough to magnetize its visitors.

Reaching and Staying There
Buses are available from Haflong during the afternoon. A bus takes approximately four hours to reach Umrongso from Haflong. Buses to Shillong and Halong are available from Umrongso.
