The Navagraha Temple in Assam is dedicated to the nine celestial bodies of the Universe. It is located on the top of Chitrasal Hill or Navagraha Hill in the capital city Guwahati. The temple houses nine Shivalingams symbolizing the nine celestial bodies. Each celestial body is covered with a coloured cloth representing each of the celestial bodies. These celestial bodies surround the Shivalingam which is the symbol of the Sun.
