Barapani Umimam Lake Meghalaya

Barapani Lake is a promising site for adventure seekers. It offers great water sports and adventure facilities to the visitors. Here a huge hydro-electric dam has been constructed across the river stream. Its beauty and facilities make it a famous tourists destination of Meghalaya. The efforts of the State authorities and the Meghalaya Tourism Department have resulted in the development of this lake into a place of tourist interest. There is an Orchid Tourist home overlooking the lake which is run by the government. The Barapani lake boasts of floating restaurants offering delicious meals.
