Temi Tea Garden Sikkim

Producing one of the finest tea in the world, the Temi Tea Garden is the only tea estate in Sikkim. Sprawling over an area of 435 acres, the tea garden is situated on the hill slope of the Tendong Hill. Its foundation was laid in 1969 involving 406 workers. Its production rate is 100 MT tea per year. Its surroundings are not only green and refreshing but also peaceful and picturesque. The tea leaves produced here occupy an important place in the international market. The aroma of the tea coupled with its taste makes it famous. On your trip to this tea garden you can even see the process of tea making at the factory. India is proud of this tea garden as it is the finest tea producing garden in the country.

There is an accommodation facility near the tea garden – the old British built Bungalow. A stay here can be very refreshing. And of course waking up to a cup of best quality tea in the country is an experience in itself. En route Temi Tea Garden you can enjoy the pleasant surroundings, villages and their culture. Temi Tea Garden is a national award winning garden which received All India Quality Award. The award was conferred on it by the Tea Board of India in 1994 and 1995.
