Spend some time at these lakes and you will have lots of memories to take back home. Khecheopalri lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Sikkim. Located in the West Sikkim and surrounded by dense forests, the lake is worshipped by the Hindus as well as the Buddhists. The lake has a charm to it which attracts people from far off land. Devotees and tourists from across the world come here. This lake is also called the 'wishing lake'. Held in high reverence, the lake is considered very sacred. Prayers are offered at the lake and there are no water sports allowed here. Surprisingly, the birds do not allow a single leaf to float on the lake surface.
