Buddha's Image

Beautifully engraved image of lord Buddha was discovered near Mualchang village. Both sides of the lord's image are adorned with the images of dancing girls. The image of the lord looks ancient. Another slab of the stone depicts the engravings of foot marks and several objects such as spear head and dao. It seems that these stones were carved with the help of metal chisels as the marks indicating the sharpening of metal tools have been found on the nearby stones.

The Buddha's image is located only 8 km from the Mualchang village where you can reach in few hours from the capital city Aizwal. Buddha's image is one tourist attraction of Mizoram which is preferred by most of the tourists coming to Mizoram.
