Dirang Arunachal Pradesh

Boasting of great trekking and hiking routes, Dirang is an ideal tourist destination. It is located in the West Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh. One of the specialities of this place is the apple orchards. These orchards are flooded with apples during winter, which is a sight to behold. The place is also dotted with sheep breeding farms. Located around Dirang are wonderful hot-springs where people come for picnic. The culture of Dirang is influenced by Buddhism, Kalachakra Gompa is the famous Monastery here. If you really want to enjoy yourself at Dirang, then come here between October to April. The languages by the residents of Dirang are Monpa, Assamese, Hindi and English. Lossar is the famous festival of Dirang which is celebrated with lots of joy in the month of February/March.

Reaching Dirang is not a problem as it is well connected with the rest of the main places in Arunachal Pradesh. The nearest airport is at Tezpur and the nearest railway station is Rangapara. Balukpong is the entry and the exit point of Dirang.
