Bomdila Tourism

Nestled in the celestial Himalayas, Bomdila is famous for its number of attractions. It is located at an altitude of 3,500 m and remain draped in snow for a major part of the year. Good news for wildlife enthusiast, Bomdila has a wildlife sanctuary known as Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary which houses a wide range of wildlife. The nearby places of Bomdila offer exciting opportunities for trekking and hiking.

Bomdila, highly influenced by Buddhism is dotted with several Gompas which are one of its tourist attractions. You can dine at the small eating-places to relish traditional Tibetan cuisine. Momos is one of the specialities of this cuisine. Also visit the Craft Centre at Bomdila where amazingly designed dragon carpets, traditional thangka (wall hangings), paintings and masks are on sale.
